To speed up your computer, please check if you used all of the following BoostSpeed features:

1. Clean your system using ‘One Click Scanner’ tab.

2. Go to ‘Optimize’ tab and enable real-time speedup tools such as Memory and Processor Optimization, Auto Defrag, Disk Priority Manager and Desktop Protection. Each of these tools optimizes resource consumption and ensures the best speed for the applications that are active at the moment. We recommend keeping these tools enabled at all times to help things run faster on your PC.

3. Stop unwanted applications from automatically launching when your operating system starts (Auslogics BoostSpeed>> All Tools >> Startup Manager >> Startup Programs) as over time a PC builds up a collection of applications that automatically start when you turn on your PC and they may take up memory, CPU, and make it longer for your computer to startup.

In addition, to optimize file placement on drives for an even bigger speed boost, we recommend launching disk defragmentation using a ‘Disk Defrag’ tool that you can access in ‘All Tools’ tab.

I have rerun the features in 1 and 2, turned off almost all of the start-up programs, run the defrag and the optmizing it.

Are their any recommendations for the Task Scheduler or Background Tasks to be disabled?

On the task manager tab I do not see how much memory is used or any easy way to see which are recommended to leave on (and thus which could be turned off).

I had previously purchase the driver updater, but had to get a refund since it would not run (see below). It still freezes, do you have another option/recommendation?

Thank you for your response.

Unfortunately, there is no easy way to find out which process should be turned off. Each task, program or process has its own purpose and it has to be examined to understand if you need it or not.

If any process seems suspicious to you or you are not sure of its purpose, you can look it up on the Internet or ask us.

Task manager is a handy tool that can help you detect which process (application) is consuming most of the resources (CPU, memory, Disk, Network). Further on you need to check why the application is on and, if you don’t need it, it can be turned off or uninstalled through “Uninstall manager”.

Based on the screenshot you’ve provided us with we cannot say for sure if the Driver Updater is stuck, but we do see that there are at least 4 drivers that could be updated using the program. Driver update might also resolve your PC performance issue.

It seems that the 'googling' the various processes often, at least identifies which are Microsoft System based with 'recommendations' to not disable. Do you not at least have these cataloged?

When you refer to Task Manager... is the Auslogic's version, which does not seem to show resource usage or Microsoft's?

The Driver Updater gets to 49% and stops. I've left it for hours without progress. I just tried it again, same results. I was just successful in completing a driver backup operation if that helps. Once I cancel the search I do not see any way of identifying the 4 (or other) drivers that need updating. If your tool does not work, which alternative would you recommend?

1. You can find the drivers for your device on the developer’s official website:

2. All the drivers for your model need to be downloaded and installed one by one. After that please restart your PС and check if the problem is solved.

3. We also recommend you to update your OS and browser.

4. Please try to uninstall your antivirus and check if the problem persists. If you reinstall antivirus again, it’s supposed to remain active.

5. Please take a screenshot showing the “Task Manager” at the moment when the driver is slow or freezing and send it to us. The processes need to be sorted by CPU column.

Hi, let's focus on getting the driver updater working

1) I ran the Lenovo updater and it only identified a BIOS update, which I did. But even a partial run of your updater showing more (3)?

2) Still not fixed

3) Checked Windows and Firefox.. both were current

4) I disabled the anti-virus. ONE TIME it scanned to the end and then I updated one driver. Since then, it either scans with no progress or only goes 1/2 way. ( I will try actually uninstalling it and let you know if that makes a difference. )

UPDATE: Good News

Removing and reinstalling Norton seems to have removed the block and now the Driver Updater is running to completion!! I am not sure which aspect of Norton was causing the interference but for now, I am happy... we can close this ticket.
