Dear Fred,

Thank you for posting your question on our forum.

There are two ways to restore your iTunes library, depending on whether you’ve backed up the files or not.

If you have a backup of your iTunes library on an external drive, you can restore it by following the steps:

- close iTunes

- find your external drive on the Desktop or Finder sidebar (for Mac) or in My Computer (for Windows)

- drag the backed up earlier iTunes folder from your external drive to the chosen location on your internal drive. It is recommended to put the iTunes folder back into its default location. Here is the detailed instructions on how to do it:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201625#find

- hold down the Option key (Mac) or Shift key (Windows) while opening iTunes

- click “Choose Library” when asked to choose the iTunes Library

- select the iTunes folder from your internal drive (the folder you’ve transferred from the external drive)

- click "Choose" (for Mac) or "Open" (for Windows)

- choose the iTunes Library.itl file inside

In case there is no back of the iTunes library, we recommend using a third-party utility to restorу the deleted files.

If you have any other questions or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
