No Windows Update KB5008212

First of all, please make sure you attempt the manual update download from the right source: go to Microsoft’s Update Catalog and enter the necessary update’s KB number in the search field. Press the Download button and check whether your computer can install the update.

If that doesn’t work, please proceed with the steps below:

1. Check Your Connection.

Unplug your router from the grid and wait a couple of minutes for static electricity to drain. Reboot your computer in the meanwhile. Connect your router back, wait for your computer to be back online, and make sure that no other device is using the same connection. If you’re on Wi-Fi, temporarily switch to a cable wire connection if possible.

2. Run the Update Troubleshooter.

The Update troubleshooter can automatically detect and fix the issues that are causing error code 0x800f0831.

• go to Settings, and select Update and Security

• click on the Troubleshoot option in the left-hand pane

• select Show additional troubleshooters.

• launch the Update troubleshooter and let it scan and fix your system.

• сheck for updates again

3. Restart the Update Services.

Restart the Windows Update services using Command Prompt to establish a new connection to Microsoft’s Update servers.

• press the Win+X keys, and select Command Prompt (Admin).

• run the commands below one by one (wait until CMD finishes running the current command before entering a new one):

► net stop bits

► net stop wuauserv

► net stop appidsvc

► net stop cryptsvc

► Del "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Network\Downloader\*.*"

► rmdir %systemroot%\SoftwareDistribution /S /Q

► rmdir %systemroot%\system32\catroot2 /S /Q

► net start bits

► net start wuauserv

► net start appidsvc

► net start cryptsvc

Additionally, you can execute the commands below to scan and repair your disk:

► dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

► sfc /scannow

Restart your computer and check for updates again.

I've tested all the steps you suggested (some are very familiar to me), with no luck so far. The independent update download says can't be installed, Troubleshooter reports no error, router is already reset every day, and the CMD command session didn't made a difference. Any suggestion welcome, even I am considering the idea of reinstall W10 from scratch. Best regards.
