Startup Applications Automatically Getting Disabled

To fix your issue, please take the steps below:

- add your startup applications to the antivirus white list (it can block startup applications);

- check for Windows updates and install the latest ones (to manage your options and see available updates, select Check for Windows updates or press the Start button > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update);

- we would also recommend checking your cleaning/optimizing software settings, to see if they block startup applications (Startup Manager in BoostSpeed).

Thak you. I did everything you suggested, but unfortunately, I it did not work. Usually, it worked the first time I restarted the computer, but then, it disabled the app on the next startup.

You can try another approach to address your issue: Launch Task Scheduler by pressing Win+R and typing intaskschd.msc, hit Enter end proceed with these steps:

1: Choose “Create Task” under the Action menu.

3: Give the assignment a name under the General tab. Choose “Run with highest privileges”.

4: Click “New” under the Triggers tab.

5: In the uppermost dropdown box choose to“Begin the task: At log on” and click OK.

6: Click “New” under the Actions tab.

7: Select the program you wish to launch upon startup, then click “Open”.

8: Press OK.

9: Uncheck the “Start the task only if the computer is on AC Power” checkbox in the “Conditions” section, and click OK.

10: On the Settings page, uncheck all checkboxes except for the one labeled “Allow task to be run on demand”. Once finished, click OK.

11: To effect the modification, restart your computer.

Sorry to hear your issue was not resolved.

Could you please specify the following information, so we can try to find another solution:

- what are the names of the apps/services set to auto start at Windows logon, but failing to do so;

- do these apps/services have their own auto start settings; have you tried applying these settings and how did it work?

We would also appreciate it if you could send us your system information report and Event Viewer.exe logs after restarting your PC (these files should contain responses from the apps that fail to auto start).

To get the system information report press Start -> Run, type in MSINFO32 and press the Enter button. Save the report using the File -> Save menu option.

To get logs from “Event viewer”, please do the following:

1. Press the key combination “Windows” + “X”

2. Select “Event Viewer”

3. Expand the “Custom Viewer” subsection

4. Select “Administrative Events”

5. Expand the “Action” menu

6. Click on “Save all events in custom view as ...”

7. Save log to PC

Thank you so much, but I have decided to totally delete Rainlendar2, the app in question, and reinstall. Having done so, even though I unchecked the start box, it still starts on when my computer starts. No idea why this is and at this point, I want to just wave the white flag and move on.
