Windows Security and Explorer freeze.

1. Run the System File Checker tool to scan and repair any corrupted or missing system files:

- press Windows + X, select Windows Terminal (Admin) from the menu;

- in the terminal window, type sfc /scannow and press Enter;

- wait for the scan to complete and then restart your computer;

- check if the issue is resolved.

2. Update your drivers. Outdated or incompatible drivers can also cause Windows Security and Explorer to freeze, especially after a Windows update. To update the drivers automatically, you can use Auslogics Driver Updater: https://www.auslogics.com/en/software/driver-updater/

3. Reinstall BoostSpeed 13. It is possible that BoostSpeed 13 is conflicting with some Windows components or other software, causing it to freeze. To fix this, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling BoostSpeed 13. For this:

- press Windows + I to open Settings, click Apps;

- click Apps & features on the left pane;

- scroll down and find Auslogics BoostSpeed 13 on the right pane;

- click on it and then click Uninstall;

- follow the on-screen instructions to complete the uninstallation process;

- restart your computer and then download and install BoostSpeed 13 from this link https://www.auslogics.com/en/software/boost-speed/

- launch the program and activate it with your license key;

- check if the issue is resolved.

I did "sfc /scannow" and the same problem occurred.

When I updated the driver, many apps had problems, so I performed a system restore.

I uninstalled and reinstalled Auslogics BoostSpeed 13 and the same problem occurred.

To be able to investigate the issue, we would like to ask you for some additional information. Could you please send us the Event Viewer logs and BoostSpeed debug logs?

To get logs from Event Viewer:

- press Windows + X;

- select Event Viewer;

- expand the Custom Viewer subsection;

- select Administrative Events;

- expand the Action menu;

- click on "Save all events in custom view as ...";

- save log to PC;

To get BoostSpeed debug logs:

1. Exit BoostSpeed with ‘File’ -> ‘Close’ menu command. Make sure that BoostSpeed is not running. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del, go to process monitor and stop BoostSpeed if it is running.

2. Download and unpack the archive by the link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1E4ufGHkeHdGDYxngN7wNZLrBm2Eaq_7-/view?usp=sharing and run the Auslogics_BoostSpeed_13.reg file, agree to add the data to the registry when prompted. Then run BoostSpeed, answer 'NO' when the program asks you to disable debug mode and perform the actions that led to the issue. Wait for BoostSpeed to freeze/finish, reboot your PC and check the "C:\ProgramData\Auslogics\BoostSpeed\13.x\Logs\" folder for the files with .log extension. Archive this folder.

Once you’ve obtained these two files, please pack them both into an archive and email it to support@auslogics.com.

In the meantime, you can also try rolling back the latest Windows updates and see if it helps:

- open Settings by pressing Windows + I;

- click on Update & Security;

- click on Windows Update on the left pane;

- click on View update history on the right pane;

- click on Uninstall updates at the top of the page;

- locate the latest update you want to uninstall in the list of installed updates sorted by date;

- click on Uninstall at the top of the page;

- follow the on-screen instructions to complete the uninstallation process;

- restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved.

Alternatively, you can use Control Panel to uninstall the latest Windows 10 updates:

- press Windows + R to open the Run dialog box;

- type control panel and click OK;

- click on Programs => Programs and Features;

- click on View installed updates on the left pane;

- locate the latest update you want to uninstall in the list of installed updates sorted by date;

- click on Uninstall at the top of the page;

- follow the on-screen instructions to complete the uninstallation process;

- restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved.
