Jabra Speak 710

Please follow these steps to try and resolve the problem.

1. Update Windows:

Since the problem started after a driver update and persisted even after reinstalling Windows, it's crucial to ensure that your operating system is fully up-to-date.

- Press Win + I to open Settings;

- Go to "Update & Security" > "Windows Update";

- Click on "Check for updates" and install any pending updates.

2. Check Services:

- Press Win + К to open the Run dialog box;

- Type SERVICES.MSC and press Enter;

- Examine each of the following services, ensuring they are running. Restart any services that are already running:

Bluetooth Support Service

Bluetooth Audio Gateway Service

Bluetooth Handsfree Service (availability may vary based on your Windows 10 version).

3. Update Device Drivers:

- Right-click on the Start menu and select "Device Manager";

- Locate the Bluetooth and Sound, video, and game controllers sections;

- Right-click on the relevant devices and choose "Update driver";

After updating your system and drivers, restart your computer and check if the issue persists.

thank you very much for all your proposals.

I tried them all, unfortunately without success. The Jabra speaker and the USB link are still not recognized as audio devices.

We are sorry to hear that none of the steps have resolved the issue with your Jabra Speak 710 MS. Let's try a more comprehensive approach. After performing each step, restart your computer and attempt to pair and connect the Jabra Speak 710 again.

1. Remove the device in Windows and reset Jabra Speak 710:

- right-click on the Start menu and select "Device Manager";

- locate Jabra Speak 710 under "Audio inputs and outputs";

- right-click on it and choose "Uninstall device";

- disconnect Jabra Speak 710 from your laptop;

- reset the Jabra speakerphone by simultaneously pressing and holding the Answer call button and the End call button for 8 seconds until "Factory reset" is announced. Resetting the Jabra speakerphone clears the list of paired Bluetooth devices.

2. Reset the Jabra Link Bluetooth Adapter:

- download the latest version of Jabra Direct: https://www.jabra.com/software-and-services/jabra-direct

- open Jabra Direct, select your device;

- click on device;

- in the device settings, click Reset to open the Restore device settings dialog;

- click Apply.

3. In case the issue persists, try using a different USB cable. If applicable for your device, attempt a direct connection to your laptop via the RCA Connector (this should recognize it as the default audio device).

thanks again for your extensive reply.

1. In Device Manager, the Jabra speak does not show under Audio inputs and outputs. (screenshot 1 attached)
It does not show in any other category either, except as a general device under USBDeviceShare USB DeviceStub (screen shot 2 attached). There is 1 entry extra in this group when the speak is connected to the computer, that is how I found it. I tried to update the driver for each of these lines, but the best driver is apparently already installed.

2. In Jabra Direct, the Spreak and the link do not show as devices either. Screen shot 3 attached.

Thank you for your reply.

Please try removing Bluetooth and Jabra Drivers:

- open Device Manager by pressing Win + X and selecting "Device Manager";

- expand the "Bluetooth" category and uninstall your Bluetooth devices;

- look for the Jabra device under "Other Devices" and uninstall it;

- confirm the uninstallation, checking "Delete the driver software for this device" if available;

- restart your computer.

If the problem still persists, despite these efforts, it's advisable to contact Microsoft Support for personalized help.

If you still haven't been able to resolve the issue, there is another sulotion that might help. Please note that the method carries certian risks. Proceed with extreme cation and only if you feel comfortable performing the operation:

1. Run Command Prompt as Administrator.

2. Type pnputil.exe -e and press Enter.

3. Locate all available Bluetooth-related drivers (check the Class lines containing Bluetooth).

4. Note down all names (the Published name lines) related to Bluetooth drivers.

5. Use the names in the following command one by one.

6. Type pnputil.exe -d name and press Enter.

7. The next line should indicate that the driver package has been removed.

8. Proceed with the next Bluetooth driver name until all are removed.

9. If the command returns an error that the package can't be removed, go to Device Manager => unroll Bluetooth, right-click on available devices => Delete.

10. Execute pnputil.exe -d name.

11. Restart the PC and reconnect the Bluetooth device or search for Bluetooth devices.

many thanks again for your answer !

I ran the commandpnputil.exe -e, and found 2 drivers with class Bluetooth :oem137.inf andoem68.inf, both from Intel Corporation.

I tried to delete them with commandpnputil.exe -d,but got an error message :

Deleting the driver package failed : One or more devices are presently installed using the specified INF.

I opened DEvice Manager, unfolded the Bluetooth section and uninstalled the drivers that were in that section. Once this was done, the Bluetooth section disappeared from the overview.

I ran the commandpnputil.exe -dagain,but got the same error message.

I restarted the computer, which brought back the bluetooth section in Device manager, but the problem with the speaker still persists.

Thank you for your reply.

Looks like some of the connected devices won’t allow removal of the drivers. The solution for it would be to find all drivers for the devices connected via Bluetooth and run the command pnputil.exe -d for them as well. If you need to locate the devices in Device Manager, check the Audio, Other categories.

We would like to point out once again that the operation might negatively affect your system. So please proceed with caution, or, if possible, seek assistance from Microsoft Support. There is also a chance that the issue will be fixed in a future Windows Update, of which Microsoft Support will be able to inform you.
