2. System Event Notification Service Issue:

- press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter;

- locate the System Event Notification Service;

- ensure it is set to Automatic and that the service is running.

3. Reset Winsock Catalog:

- open Command Prompt as an administrator;

- type netsh winsock reset and press Enter;

- restart your computer.

4. Update Drivers.

5. Restoring DLL Files.

Hello Nolan. Thank you for responding. Based on what you have stated, RC10 will not resolve my System Event Notification issue. Before purchasing RC10, I had already performed multiple CMD options, such as CHKDSK and others. None of these CMD attempts did anything. I did not try the netsh winsock reset that you suggested, so I tried that and it did not repair anything. I then downloaded your /software/file-recovery/ program, and although I had already tried your suggestion for running "services.msc" it showed that the System Event Notification Service was on automatic and running properly. I restated this program just to make sure. When I ran your Driver Updater, it stated that is had FIXED the System Event Driver, which sort of puzzled me, since I had just checked it and it showed that it was running properly on automatic. This same program listed all of the programs that had outdated drivers, but in the free mode, you can only fix one at a time. When I looked over the list, I did not see anything referencing the System Event Notification Service, so I don't think that purchasing this program will do me any good.

When I contacted customer support, I briefly described how my problem started when I installed Bitdefender and I was not notified to remove Hitman Pro.Alert. When I ran Hitman Pro.Alert two days later, it found a suspicious dll file. As I stated, I put this file in quarantine and when I did that, it affected my OS. One thing that I did not mention is that Bitdefender showed that it had quarantined a file that I had never installed and that it had gotten into my system at some point when I was changing my anti-virus program from Panda Dome to Bitdefender. I was quite alarmed when Bitdefender customer service told me, "It's just an old AV program." Well, since I did not install it, I researched it and found out that hackers are using this program, TDSSKiller.exe to worm into a OS and it is then used as a ransomware attack. I sent Bitdefender CS a screenshot showing that Bitdefender and 7 other anti-virus programs have this file listed as MALWARE. The fact that their CS employee was unaware of this was quite a shock. I don't know it this malware file had anything to do with my OS becoming corrupted, but I just wanted to inform you, because YOU seem to be a lot more educated in regards to all things related to Windows Operating Systems.

Although I do like what your RC10 program can do; it can't fix my dll issue, and since I have already ran your free File Recovery Tool and did not see anything pop up pertaining to the System Event Notification Service, I don't see any reason for me to purchase the full program, unless you feel it would fix my issue.

I will wait to here from your customer service department again. If Auslogics does not have anything else that they can suggest, then I will probably go forward with requesting a refund. Thank you, Marty O
