Edge cannot be blocked from opening on login

I receive d a message that a new program had been added to the Startup folder. Upon inspection, I noticed that Edge had been re-activated to start on startup. That was done automatically. Please note the bottom of the screen.
It says that Edge is disabled. How do I prevent Windows from adding Edge, or any other program, on startup automatically?
Hello,
Thank you for posting your question on our forum.
If Microsoft Edge keeps sneaking back into Startup even though it says Disabled, what’s usually happening is that Windows or Edge is re-enabling itself through background settings.
Try these steps:
1) Turn off Edge's own startup settings
- Open Microsoft Edge
- Go to Settings → System and performance
- Turn off Startup boost and Continue running background extensions and apps when Microsoft Edge is closed.
2) Make sure Edge is disabled in Windows Startup
- Go to Settings → Apps → Startup, switch Edge's toggle to Off
3) Stop Edge from preloading
- Go to Settings→ Accounts → Sign-in options
- Turn Off Automatically save my restartable apps and restart them when I sign back in
4) Check Windows Task Scheduler
- Press Win + R, type taskschd.msc , press Enter
- Go to Task Scheduler Library → Microsoft → Edge
- Disable tasks like EdgeUpdate, Edge prelaunch
