Driver

When I use Driver Update it say's I have 4 new driver to install and I click to install em. The old version of the driver is very, very, very old so I want the new once that the program says. The installation works fine but when I restart the computer and search for driver again the 4 once appear again? What is wrong? I added a picture of the 4 drivers that seems can't been installed. All 4 drivers that semms not be installed are all from 2006-06-21. I added a picture that shows what driver can't be installed/updated.

"FULL" SCANS ARE TURNING OFF WINDOWS "SEARCH" SERVICE!!

Dear Technician(s)

This is NOT a question - it is an "Issue Notification".

I am a H-E-A-V-Y USER of the Windows 11 "SEARCH" function for my job.

Here is the issue ...

- After clicking on the new (v.14) "Scan Icon" on the dashboard, and after completion, an immediate reboot is done.

- After the reboot completed, it turns out that the "Windows Search" feature has been DISABLED!

- The BoostSpeed Path: Click on the "Task Manager" tab/then "Options & Settings"/chose "Services"/Scroll down to "WINDOWS SEARCH".

I have to re-set it to "Enable Service" AFTER EVERY FULL SCAN, repair, and then re-boot.

Please let me know after you remedy this issue.

System Configuration:
- New Dell® OptiPlex 3000 PC
- Windows 11 Pro/v. 24H2/64 Bit
- Last Time Windows/Defender Update Performed: 01/16/2025 - 03:45 AM
- CPU: Intel® i9
- RAM: 64 GB
- Storage: 2 TB SSD

Thank you and I await your reply.

SSD/HDD Optimizer question

Hi,

Your 'subcategory' field seems a little strange, but...

Is it possible to perform an offline/boot time defrag on a disk to ensure files such as pagefile.sys are contiguous? It seems a marked omission from the product if not, but I can't find a reference in the (somewhat simple) user guide.

Kind regards,

-Andy Williams
