"FULL" SCANS ARE TURNING OFF WINDOWS "SEARCH" SERVICE!!
Dear Technician(s)
This is NOT a question - it is an "Issue Notification".
I am a H-E-A-V-Y USER of the Windows 11 "SEARCH" function for my job.
Here is the issue ...
- After clicking on the new (v.14) "Scan Icon" on the dashboard, and after completion, an immediate reboot is done.
- After the reboot completed, it turns out that the "Windows Search" feature has been DISABLED!
- The BoostSpeed Path: Click on the "Task Manager" tab/then "Options & Settings"/chose "Services"/Scroll down to "WINDOWS SEARCH".
I have to re-set it to "Enable Service" AFTER EVERY FULL SCAN, repair, and then re-boot.
Please let me know after you remedy this issue.
System Configuration:
- New Dell® OptiPlex 3000 PC
- Windows 11 Pro/v. 24H2/64 Bit
- Last Time Windows/Defender Update Performed: 01/16/2025 - 03:45 AM
- CPU: Intel® i9
- RAM: 64 GB
- Storage: 2 TB SSD
Thank you and I await your reply.
