Windows-related issues

after running Boostpeed the first time I realized it turned off cortana perminently. when I went to turnit back on. it won't let me. is there a way to reverse Boostspeed Windows tweaks?

Suddenly, I have no sound. Have run all the recommended troubleshooting in settings etc., have NEVER used headphones or headset on this laptop, don't know what else to try?

If I have to restart, it takes 20 minutes or more to load completely. I have basically nothing in startup and can't figure out what is making this take so long. It's the same whether a restart or new start. The hard drive is only a little over half full with lots of pictures. Logically it has to be in either ASUS or windows (10). It's very frustrating and because it takes so long to load, I leave it running. For quite a few years I paid for a service that cleaned the system once a month and helped with any problem. I am no longer using it as it was expensive and even though I stressed the startup time issue, they never improved it.

You can see a lot about the machine, but it doesn't say it's an ASUS 15" laptop, purchased in September of 2014, model R510LAVS51 with core i5

Basically, I do not need ANY more start-up items added, yet certain software, apps and websites seem to find a way to put themselves in my Start Up Menu / Services without my express permission. How do I fully stop new items being added, please?

When starting my computer (or when locked) I'm allways directly prompted for password or pin, whith a blury picture in background.
However I like those beautyful pictures and would like to see them clearly prior to logging in. What to do?

On my Win10 desktop - running Build 19044.1618 - the WinSxS folder has grown to 12 GB. Windows Slimmer as well as dism.exe Cleanup show 6 GB thereof as obsolete. However, neither Windows Slimmer nor dism.exe do a cleanup. Any idea how to get rid of those obsolete 6 GB?

I can access everything on my computer except for a application and winrar after updating my windows.


It shows Windos cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropiate permissiong to access the item. I reformated my pc and its the same.

I have Acer Aspire 5750 G laptop, pritty old one, with win10 latest. It works well but when it goes to sleep mode everything gets slow (all applications, movement of mouse, all system), I've been waited for a long time to give it a time to wake up but nothing. Only solutions is to restart it, and after that it is in normal working mode. Before latest win10 update (2004) it was OK.
I tried so many things to do (everything throu Auslogics, update driver, clean up, registry, defrag ...), but nothing.
Is there any advice from you?

For the last week I am having issues opening any file or folder. It seems like it takes a minute or 2 for them to open. It is driving me nuts.
I have tried most of the items in https://windowsreport.com/file-explorer-slow-windows-10/ with no effect.

does this software boostspeed 12 fix the latest update from Microsoft? the 20h k -something that makes startups a lot slower. thanks

I am using a ASUS N73S system with W10-64, Windows standard firewall and Kaspersky antivirus. All softwares are update and everything runs fine.
Working with IExplorer and Edge in parallel, suddenly the screen turns black and the system is blocked during 3 or 4 seconds, then the screen pops up again and the system reactivates in Without Error Mode. I have to reboot and the system reactivate in Normal Mode. This looks like a stability problem, but maybe a compatibility case between edge and ie.

Добрый день. Вопрос один, может подскажите, как то можно без сторонего софта(в реестре может), ограничить право программам переключать фокус между окнами? Т.е. например какая-то программа в фоне запускает новое окно, и оно открывается по верх текущего(активного).
Ну грубо говоря программа обновлялась апдейтером, и по завершению обновления запустилась, таким образом переключив фокус на себя
