Disc Clean Clobbers VS Installer files

After I clean my disk, it seems that some VS Installer files are removed, such that it loses track of my installed versions of VS 2019 and VS 2022.

How can I protect that particular installation?

Brightness

I haven't use my laptop in awhile and windows 11 had installed itself. This messed a lot of things up and the laptop wasn't functionng properly anymore when I tried to fix it. I gave up and did a fresh install on it back to windows 10. I downloaded and installed all the updated drivers from the ASUS website and used auslogics driver updater to make sure the rest were up to date. Now I am unable to adjust screen brightness. The option doesn't work with the FN key option nor does it appear it windows setting anywhere. I've googled many options and all it says is to update the driver which I have done repeatledly. The only thing that doesn't work on the laptop now is brightness control. It seems to swtich just fine from using the onboard cpu graphics to the dedicated gpu.

BoostSpeed 13 BUG Issue

There is an aggravating "BUG" in BoostSpeed 13. A message frequently appears that states I have many TERABYTES of files in my Recycle Bin. See the attached screenshot.

I got this message today, while having less than 25 MB of files in my Recycle Bin.

Please look into this and fix this BUG.

I would like to disable these power plans as i use Win10's Ultimate Power Plan. I noticed that it automatically replaces my preferred plan after using Boostspeed scanner.
I am making this request bec i don't know what these power plans do and how they perform.

Auslogics Boostspeed 13 TRIMMING SSD Hang at 3% unable to complete SSD Optimization

When running Disk Defrag Optimization Auslogics Boostspeed 13 Pro hangs at 3% "Preparing" when running TRIMM on external SSD and creates a file on external SSD with the following each time Optimization is run:
D:\~DDSSDTRIMTEMP^0_1073741824{6BD97305-57AB-484E-A651-BC496157FFB7} (creates an associating Windows Media Player file) and is unable to complete the Optimization. At one time it moved 1% after 2 hours. This did not happen when running Boostspeed 12 Pro. When running Boostpeed 12 Pro the external SSD would complete Optimization.

Should Auslogics Boostspeed 13 Pro TRIMM command be Disabled when Optimizing SSDs?

Removing single items at a time.

After using the Registry Cleaner I have problems with my VPN. If I reinstall the backup everything returns to normal so I need to be able to clean the problematic files found in the scan one at a time so it does not destroy my VPN. How do I clean problems one at a time?

Dasboard SCAN cannot terminate CHROME.EXE

After running a SCAN, and choosing to resolve the issues that were found, BoostSpeed 13 is unable to terminate Chrome.exe.
In the list of termination failures there are several instance of Chrome.exe

Choosing IGNORE allows me to bypass the panel.

Smart Card Service

Hello!
I have encountered the problem with Smart Card Service turning off. And I am actually using a smart card. I keep opening Services menu in windows and turning it on again. (Auto/manual no matter) It works then, but the next day it will be the same issue over and over again.
I suspect that BoostSpeed is turning it off as a matter of "optimisation". Who can I check and make it stop? I need this service running.

I am not getting full gigabit speed on only my computer.

Hello all, happy holidays!

Unfortunately things aren't so smooth for me right now, I have just installed gigabit internet in my home, but I'm having the problem that my computer is not getting the full speed. I know the modem is putting out 940 average, because I have an eero Pro connected to it and that reads 940, and my dad's laptop on wired connection also reads 900 average, it is only my computer that is not getting the full speed on the same wired connection. It gets on average 250 Mbps, sometimes stooping lower and upload is always the same speed at 40 Mbps up.

I am using a Cat6 cable not 5 ft from the standard xfinity modem, I have reset my network settings and flushed my DNS. I have used DNS Benchmark to make a custom list of the fastest DNS Servers for me. I have downloaded and check my ethernet adapter with Intel PROSET and everything checks out. My adapter has a max speed of 1 Gbps (Intel(R) Ethernet Connection (2) I218-V). I have run virus and malware scans and came out clean. I have tried disabling windows firewall and running only ipv4 or 6. Among other things I have tried A LOT of troubleshooting and my knowledge has limited me at this point

after todays update the sound icon when clicked upon appears ok but as soon as the mouse is moved to adjust the sound the icon disappears
What can I do to bring it back to normal?
By the way: the subcategory is too limited to direct the problem to the right technician in the correct dept.

Suggestion / Idea

Hello Auslogics

This is not a question for you, merely an idea for additional software functionality. I think it could be a great feature.

I sometimes look at Event Logs for my Windows 10 PC, usually filtering out 'Information' type logs.

There are often events there that are errors. Sometimes these errors are happening thousands of times a day, but they happen silently and do not appear to impact my day to day work. But they must be hurting performance.

But if there was an 'Analyse Event Log Results' feature in BoostSpeed, which provided helpful feedback to users about those errors and suggested ways of resolving them, I would definitely use it.

I bet it would not be easy though!

BoostSpeed actions on Windows 10 Shut Down

I use Microsoft Office 2003 and one of the features maintains a list of recently used files in each of Word, Excel and Outlook. Recently the recently used files list in these three programs has been cleared following shut down at the end of the day so that when I restart my computer the next day the recently used file lists are empty and start being repopulated during the course of the day but again are cleared following the final shut down of the day.

My question is - is there a feature of Boostspeed that is clearing these lists and how do I change it so that it doesn't happen?

Printer not connecting

I recently used Auslogics to clean my computer. I believe I went to "optimize" to perform a deeper clean up. The question came up at the end to clean which I clicked on. My printer is now showing default, I cannot get it to connect to my internet either by the "wizard" or manually. HELP!!!

Здравствуйте. у меня Auslogics BoostSpeed 12, программа шикарная. Но есть одни минус, когда она производит сканирование то отключается «Служба сенсорной клавиатуры и панели рукописного ввода». Эта служба нужна не только для компьютеров с сенсорными экраном, она отвечает за то, чтобы выводить слава по мере ввода букв, как в Android и IOS. Я печатаю ногой, и мне эта функция очень сильно облегчает печатать тексты в Windows 10. Чтобы Auslogics BoostSpeed 12 не отключала Службу сенсорной клавиатуры и панели рукописного ввода, в настройках программы я вынужден отключать пункт «Продуктивность», а эта сильно урезать функционал. Поэтому прошу в дальнейших версиях исправить эту проблему, чтобы Auslogics BoostSpeed 12 не отключал службу «Служба сенсорной клавиатуры и панели рукописного ввода».

Problem with VPN

I ran a scan using the new version of the software and now I can't get any VPN to run. I uninstalled the Mozzila one and attempt to reinstall it simply hangs. I also couldn't get back into Windows without having to change my Microsoft password - the pin wasn't rconginized. At this point I'm not sure where to go.

Blank Windows Security Window

Recently had a SSD disk fail and had to have my new one imaged with Windows 11. Since then, Windows Defender shows only a blank window, as does the new MS Defender preview. I've tried everything posted online short of doing a reset and having to reload all of my software (painful because in some cases that means persuading a company to let me reuse a license key and because it tkes forever, even just for Office 365 and Adobe CC. Is there anything worth trying before I give up and do that? I'm new to BoostSpeed and might have missed something there, but I did clean out garbage from the registry, among other things.

Suggestions wecome. My understanding is that Defender is operating but not lettting me see that it is operating. I wish I could be sure of that.
