I am realtively PC savvy, not an IT genius, but I built this PC and have a little knowledge about a lot of things but I want to know hidden or not-well-known settingsto enhance speed and performance of my PC ...so What tweaks should I implement or adjust, that BootSpeed12 will do for me, to get the fatest possible PC? IE dont tell about turning off start up apps or processes etc, I already knoiw that... and lastly...
what should be next PC build under $1000 (not including monitor) give me CPU, HDD,RAM and GPU specs

This is not really a right or wrong answer so pleae cosult your collegaues because it will be challenging to surprise or impress me but there are so many settings on this software that there are bound to be 'Illuminati type of stuff

A day ago my windows 8.1 laptop started to say a word that sounds like Paul. I was listening to news and it appeared as if scheduled every10 seconds. Now even with no user task running I still hear the word. Any ideas?

I've got a Lenovo Y50 laptop. Display brightness is usually controlled by Fn + up arrow and Fn +ndown arrow. Brightness controls are not working. Not sure when this started happening.

My adapter has stopped. I need to get it up and running again..

I ran a scan using the new version of the software and now I can't get any VPN to run. I uninstalled the Mozzila one and attempt to reinstall it simply hangs. I also couldn't get back into Windows without having to change my Microsoft password - the pin wasn't rconginized. At this point I'm not sure where to go.

Recently I was having problems with Microsoft Store that it kept giving an error message when updating apps (can't remember which one eaxctly). So I reset it as per advice on various forums but since then Microsoft Store has disappeared from Apps and no longer works at all!

Please help / advise.

After a few hours of my computer being on, all sounds from the PC will have crackling sounds. There is nothing in particular that triggers it. No specific amount of time before I start to hear it. It has been happening for quite some time now

Screens Blacks Out (Stops Displaying on Minor Electricity Surges from Fridge-Freezer), but only when using HDMI connection. Happens approx. every 30 mins or so, sometimes every 15 minutes.

I have a private home LAN with three Windows 10 PCs that are sharing files & folders among themselves with no problem - I just click their PC name under Network in File Explorer. Problem is, I just set up a new Win 10 PC but when I click on that new PC's name under Network in File Explorer on any of the existing three PCs I get an error msg saying I don't have permission to access the new PC.

I made the new PC discoverable and not pwd-protected, just like the other three. I set up the Documents folder in the new PC to be shared by Everyone with Full permissions. All four PCs are running Win 10 (ver. 2004). All are wired Ethernet desktop PCs except one existing PC is a Wi-Fi laptop.

This situation is weird because everything works fine when I go to the Search box (next to the Start icon) on any of the other PCs and type \\NewPC\Users\UName\Documents\. The same good result occurs when I set up a shortcut targeting \\NewPC\Users\UName\Documents\.

There is no hardware/connectivity problem because the new PC is seen by all the others and I can access the shared Documents folder\files in either of the two ways just described above.

Am I missing a setting, or something else? Thanks for any help.
