Auslogics Boostspeed 12

My computer is a 64 bit machine which can run 32 bit programs. My computer is running Boostspeed 12 using 32 bit versions of all its programs instead of the 64 bit version. Is this the reason why my computer is taking over an hour to startup in the morning with the disk using 93% to the usual 100% all the time? Or, is the problem due to too much disk thrashing since it appears that all the startup programs start up immediately instead of being staggered per the scheduler? This problem started when I had to uninstall Boostspeed 12 and reinstall it per the Auslogics support person.

Dear Larry,

Thank you for posting your question on our forum.

32 bit programs do not affect or slow down computers performance.

Possible reasons causing a slow startup of your PC can be:

1. An old or greatly fragmented hard drive.

2. Too many applications set to run on Windows logon.

3. System drive (the one with Windows installed on it) doesn't have enough space.

4. Corrupted Windows system files.

To resolve the issue, please try the following:

1. Install all available Windows updates. Type ""Check for Updates"" into the Search bar => Check for Updates => download and install the updates.

2. Update your device drivers.

3. Download and install the latest version of Auslogics BoostSpeed form the page below and scan your system:

https://www.auslogics.com/en/software/boost-speed/

Use Startup Manager to sort through startup applications, Disk Defrag to optimize your drives, Service Manager to see the list of running services and disable the ones that are not needed.

Hopefully, these recommendations will help you resolve the issue. If you continue having problems, please let us know, we will be happy to assist.
