how do i go about cleaning up my pc's empty, non existant and duplicate files, programs, videos, etc

My computer is slowing down more and more as I use up more diskdrive space. It is an older computer but has been super reliable until very recently. What is the most effective way to free-up hard drive space to allow Windows to be more efficient?

I know that subject was less than helpful so let me explain. I have a windows 10 pro (22H2) self built PC. It has the following:
Device name DESKTOP-1RRVL9S
Processor AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D 16-Core Processor 4.20 GHz
Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.1 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

While I'm working the PC will just pause for about 5-10 seconds. The pause happens at random times and doesn't seem to be linked to any one applicaiton, like I could be working in Work one time and watching YT another. Doesn't matter what I'm doing. Once it unpauses, the machine catches up with everything that's been typed or clicked. I can't seem to find a reason for it. Memory, Proc and disk are all find. Even after the pause there's no indication of a CPU, memory or disk issue, like a usage spike.

I didn't know what catagory this fell under but when I went to my "about" heading in my settings it said that I had a 128g Virtual hard drive on my system from Intel, was wondering how it got there seeing that I don't even know what Virtual drive is let alone how to install one on my computer. Any info you have would be appreciated, thank you, James.

I run Windows 11 Pro on a Lenovo laptap. I've had a problem over the past couple of years with file saves regularly seeming to default to OneDrive, iCloud, or Google Drive, which stores this stuff in the cloud. I want to do away with ALL of this cloud-based crap and simply save things to my C: drive, an SSD that I backup weekly. My question: How can set up my laptop so that anything I want to save will automatically default to my C: drive? Thanks.

I'm trying to designate my new portable hard drive as the file history location for my backups and it won't take it. What am I doing wrong?

For some unknown reason, the opening of files and folders has slowed down to a snail's pace.
Have tried internet suggestions to no avail.
Any clues?

I have a network drive that is mapped to two computers on the network. This is a Raid with 5 sub drives mapped on it.
Two other computers on the netwwork, one Win 10 and one Win 11, only see a Twonky server. How do I discover the mapping of the network drive and then map the virtual drives to my other computers?

Which Auslogics product should I use to remove C:\Program Files\HPPrintScanDoctor from my Windows 11 computer? My computer's uninstall using the Control Panel does not do a clean uninstall. I used msconfig to disable any services associated with the HP Print Scan Doctor.

I have some content on my pc that was copied from one disk to anothewr. I wqould like to automatically clean up this mess and delete all duplicate files on one of the drives. As long as the files are identical, this does not need to be supervised and could be an automatewd process. How do I set this up in your software?

I just got a new computer, and the location services area is grayed out, meaning I cannot turn on GPS as a means to determine location. It says the administrator can do this. I'm the administrator. What screen do I need to go to, to turn this on? Thanks.

HI. After defrag and optimize found this folder: bdservicehost.exe in programs Files (x86) Can this be deleted safely and do we have to have program files and program files (x86) also? can they be merged?

I have an Omen computer by H.P. The last time I used my windows to go USB on my Omen it worked, however unfortunately I could not boot my main hard drive and had to reinstall windows on the Omen. Both units are Windows 11 Home. The windows to go is still on the USB and I have my recovery keys but I am afraid to boot from it or it might leave my Omen in a bad place. The blue screen said the boot files had missing information or the configuration was missing of the boot files. How can I avoid this in the future, or should I format my USB and not risk it on this machine? I am running the latest bios. It's a Cruzer Glide 3.0, 128 GB.
